Planning a birthday for an 8–12-year-old who loves gaming? Rolling Video Games of Massachusetts brings the consoles and a Game Coach to your Lexington party, so the kids can spend their birthday playing with friends.
From the guest list to the birthday cake
A party at home means you can keep the birthday cake, presents and gathering in one place. The game truck comes to your Lexington location, and our Game Coach helps the kids get playing. Start with your date, the kids' ages and a rough guest count—you don't need to have every game picked out yet.
Before you send the invitations, take a look at where the truck will park. We need room for the whole vehicle, so a driveway that holds a few cars may still need a closer look. If you're celebrating at a school or community venue, ask your contact about trailer parking and when the space will be available. You'll need to arrange any permission or permits required by the property owner or local authority.
For the guest list, plan around 16 players inside; another 8 can play outside when weather allows. If more friends are coming, talk to us about taking turns. Save cake, food and drinks for outside the trailer, and have a parent or responsible adult available at the party location. Our birthday party guide will help you think through the rest.
Console party or shared VR adventure?
The game truck
The consoles, games, seven 55" TVs, WiFi and one Game Coach are included. The truck is heated and cooled, with its own power. Browse the game library with your birthday kid, then tell us their favorites. We'll help choose games that suit the group's ages.
VR in the truck
For guests age 10 and older, there's one PSVR2 headset available with truck bookings of two hours or longer, with parental consent. Guests take turns with the headset; 8- and 9-year-olds can enjoy the console games.
Free-roam VR
Want friends to play in a shared virtual world? Our separate free-roam VR experience uses a cleared, level space at your venue. Send a photo, floor dimensions, the kids' ages and your guest count. A 15 × 15 ft area is a starting point for a four-player Hero Zone layout; 20 × 20 ft is the published six-player layout. We'll check the actual space and game fit before giving you a free-roam VR quote.
Parking, arrival and weather
Allow up to 60 feet—about four car lengths—on flat, level ground. Share the full address and the spot you have in mind before booking. We arrive 20–30 minutes before your scheduled truck party, so have the agreed space clear and ready. Delays while clearing parking don't extend the scheduled end time.
If the forecast looks wet, plan for the 16 inside spaces: the two exterior screens are unavailable in rain, snow or other inclement weather. Starlink also needs open sky, and heavy tree cover can affect the connection; there is no internet fallback. The truck has no restroom and is not wheelchair-accessible, so tell us about access needs and have a restroom available at your party location. You'll find the full details in our booking policies.
Choose time for your celebration
We come to Lexington from our base in ZIP 01731 at Hanscom Air Force Base, rather than a Lexington office. The first 40 miles are included; beyond that, travel is $50 for every additional 10 miles. We confirm the distance and fee for your full address. Planning a weekday birthday? Eligible two-hour Monday–Thursday parties receive $50 off; discounts can't be combined. Once you have a date in mind, request your truck package and time through Square. We'll review the request and send the contract and $99 deposit invoice. Your party is confirmed after you've signed, paid the deposit invoice and we've accepted the request. The remaining balance is due seven days before the party. Free-roam VR and larger organization events have their own quotes.
